How your iPad Pro can inspire you.
During one of the first lockdowns in 2020, I made a rather expensive purchase... I bought the New iPad Pro (12.9 Inch , 4th Generation). Im not going to lie, it was a bit of an impulsive purchase. But wow was it one of the best technology purchases I've ever made.
Screen Size.
One of the greatest attributes of the iPad Pro 12.9" is its beautifully large screen size. Because of its size, you are near enough able to do anything your laptop/MacBook would do. I have found that even without a Magic Keyboard, the keyboard to screen ratio on most apps allows you to continue as normal if you switched from one device to another.
Because of this, you are able to use your iPad not only for pleasure/hobbies but for business type matters too (Like a good mullet, business in the front, party in the back).
Inspiration : The iPad is less bulky than your traditional laptop or MacBook. This to me, makes me feel more comfortable to do different tasks wherever I am, whether it be designing stickers or writing blog posts, in the office a cafe or even on a train or plane.
Watch all your favourite films/shows/Youtubers.
One of the advantages to the larger screen size is that it is great for watching your favourite films or programmes as its portable but equally a decent size to not distort the quality of say ... Grey's Anatomy and all it has to offer. One of my favourite other things to watch is Youtubers like @Lauryndoan , @Juliakcrist and @Hannahmaute . The iPad makes these fabulous to watch too.
I use mine for this reason at home, the other half might be watching football or playing on his x-box. The iPad is a life saver if I want to be in the same room as him without having to watch everything he does. He can chill after a long day at work and I can catch up on some absolute goddess' of productivity, planning and generally bossing life.
Inspiration: Watching your favourite shows is always a good reboot and distraction from a long day or week. Then personally Youtube is an exceptional place to learn as well as grow alongside other Youtuber's.
Etsy
I won't go into this one too much as it filters down below to the other two topics. But Etsy does absolute wonders for you iPad, especially if you have the Apple Pencil (I can only speak for the 2nd Generation though). There are so many great things you can buy from Etsy that really ensure you get the most out of your iPad and some of them aren't expensive either.
Inspiration: Finding yourself in a creative rut? Etsy has so many different accessories available through great sellers for your physical or digital stationary needs.
GoodNotes
GoodNotes is soooo good! It is defiantly one of the best note taking apps out there, especially if you love to write with your Apple Pencil. You're able to make notes by writing as you would on paper, you are then also able to search through your handwriting like you would be able to search through text which is awesome if you love traditional note taking but don't want a gizzilion and one notepads laying around (been there...).
Another great feature is that with the online world becoming more predominant and PDF files being sent left, right and centre. Good notes allows you to make notes over the top, this is perfect if you are on the move/out of the office and do not have access to a printer, you can still read the document and make notes, all in one.
Etsy with GoodNotes
This is without a doubt the best feature of GoodNotes for me! There are a lot of lovely people on Etsy who are very clever and have made Digital Planners exactly for GoodNotes on the iPad! They are so f**king cute too! They are designed to be used and are laid out like a physical journal, but have the functionality of being compressed into an interactive file instead. Some creators even provide digital stickers with them too so you can personalise the crap out of your journal.
The one I bought through Etsy was from a lovely company called 'DigitalPlannerStart'.
Go check them out! You won't be disappointed.
Inspiration: I don't know about you but I had TONS of journals/notebooks/notepads... a lot of them I have either never written in or one or two pages have been used. Especially now, this is not environmentally friendly in the least and also starts adding up.
Being able to have a journal on your iPad that you can completely personalise and take anywhere without having to carry multiple ones with you, while helping the planet is an absolute win.
Procreate
Procreate is an incredible app. Don't get me wrong, it can take a while to get used to all the different brushes and pressures. But trust me, once you get a hang of it, it is incredibly therapeutic. You can draw your own masterpieces, trace over photos to make digital art and can even make animations.

Etsy with Procreate
If you can't quite find the right brush for you, Etsy is another amazing place to find exactly what you need. There are sellers that have created brushes in packs and individually for whatever style you are wishing to create. Another awesome aspect is that they have created 'brushes' that act as stamps, these too can come in some beautiful designs.
Inspiration: The ability to be able to use near enough any kind of brush in the world on your iPad is pretty spectacular. If as a kid you always loved to draw, use colouring books and paint, Procreate is the app for you right now!
